Donation from Easterns Automotive Group helps Transform Art Therapy Room for Children Dealing with Grief

Capital Caring Health’s Grief Support Program featured on Fox 5: $7,000 Donation from Easterns Automotive Group helps Transform Art Therapy Room for Children Dealing with Grief

Fox 5 recently featured Capital Caring Health on its Pay It Forward Program and highlighted a new art therapy room for children dealing with grief.

The new space is located at Capital Caring Health’s Headquarters in Falls Church and features a lego wall, sand box, an art table, toys, supplies and more. The room is designed to provide a comfortable and a safe space for children who are receiving grief support counseling services.

Capital Caring Health offers free grief support services to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one; whether they have accessed our hospice services of not.

Thanks to generous donations from Easterns Automotive Group, the space was transformed into a beautiful, functional art room. Easterns Automotive Group purchased more than $7,000 worth of furniture, books, and art supplies. Several team members from Easterns also helped hang shelves, assemble furniture and hang photos on the walls of the new space.

Capital Caring Health service options include: individual short-term grief counseling, community-based support groups, workshops, Services of Remembrance, grief camps for children, and so much more.

Tara Hoit, Director, Capital Caring Health’s Children’s Program, and Monica Delaney, Child and Family Clinical Services Specialist, were interviewed by Fox 5 anchor Allison Seymour.
