In this new role, Kieran will direct all the activities of our Patient Advocate Group. Kieran will use his vast experience in strategic planning and execution to better inform the medical community and other key decision makers on what makes CCH special and often unique in how we deliver world class advanced illness and hospice care.
Kieran is well known for his innovative approach to business development leading to increased patient access for both Hospice and Palliative Care. He has in the past and will now coordinate with all parties involved in these services – the medical community, community government and business leaders, insurers, service partners, patients and their families, and internal staff and volunteers.
Accordingly, Kieran will elevate our mission, values, and care services to a wider population of influencers and will work closely with other senior management to cross pollinate among these influencers what makes CCH so special – an around-the-clock focus on putting patients and family first and always doing the right thing.
Remarked the CEO, Michael Milward, of the Hospice of Santa Cruz County, “Our colleagues across the country have recognized Kieran’s wide skill set, his passion for our mission and his focus on innovation and excellence.” Mr. Milward goes on to say, “for HSSC it will be great to have another friend and colleague in Washington, D.C. on the national stage.”
Our CEO Tom Koutsoumpas replied: “There is no greater compliment that a professional can have than his soon to be former boss being thrilled for Kieran and for our collective approach through the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation (NPHI) a national organization of non-profit hospice providers, and other means to educate all American families regarding serious illness and end-of-life care.”
