We’re Bringing Compassionate Care to Northwest DC

We believe in a world where patients with life-limiting illness can maintain dignity and comfort, while receiving the physical, emotional, and spiritual support that they deserve. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we are grateful for the support of our community to help ensure that we can provide patients and their families with compassionate care of the highest quality, without turning anyone away for lack of funds.

Building on a most extraordinary gift of $2M from The Washington Home, a charitable foundation, Capital Caring Health is excited to announce the opening of its inpatient hospice care unit at Sibley Memorial Hospital, opening this summer. The new ten-bed, private room facility, aptly named The Washington Home Inpatient Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, will provide much-needed comprehensive advanced illness care to residents of Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County, Md. This new world-class facility will be the first of its kind in Northwest DC to provide specialized care to patients facing their end of life journey.

Renderings of our New Inpatient Unit

Patients sometimes need the extra care that only an inpatient unit can provide. Our goal was to make each private suite contain many of the comforts and amenities of home, allowing patients and families to be together.
