1980 BottleCapital Caring is thrilled to be selected as one of only 200 nonprofit organizations nationwide to be given a rare bottle of Old Fashioned Copper (O.F.C.) 1980 Vintage Bourbon to put up for auction in support of our hospice and palliative care program. This legendary bourbon is part of a limited release by the Buffalo Trace Distillery to help support charities across the country.

Valued at $10,000, this exceptionally rare bourbon is packaged in a hand-cut crystal bottle inspired by a decanter dating back to the 1900s, and arrives in a dark wooden box with revolving door and the O.F.C. name in copper. Buffalo Trace Distillery donated 200 bottles of their 1980, 1982, and 1983 vintages — Capital Caring was given a bottle of the 1980 vintage.

Funds received as part of this auction will support our work to provide world-class hospice and palliative care to 1,300 moms, dads, and children each day, regardless of their ability to pay, in Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. To learn more about the auction or to make a bid, click here.

The auction will close at 11:59 p.m. on February 24, 2017. The winner must be available to pick up the bourbon at Capital Caring’s office in Falls Church, Virginia.
